We have been studying about world view recently in our morning bible study. It has brought about much discussion concerning things in life which affect our world view, changing it for better or worse. One thing which really stood out for me was how much our own attitude affects our view of the world and the life that we lead. It made me reflect on my own life and just how grateful I am to live the life I do.
I have shared the difficulties of my childhood and I do think the tricky times back then help me to fully appreciate the joy of my life right now.
I recently read a post entitled ‘How God uses Marriage to Heal our Hurts’. I have always felt so blessed by the man I get to call my husband and often pass the comment that I’m not entirely sure how I managed to snap him up! Gary and I have an incredible relationship. I honestly didn’t know relationships existed like ours. Life feels very easy with him in it. But it had never occurred to me that God had used Gary to heal me of the past. The post really resonated with me. Gary is my salve, as well as my best friend, lover and the father of our children, and I adore him.
I am so thankful for this man of mine and tomorrow, on Father’s day, we will all be going out of our way to express just how special he is. We have four girls who are confident and happy just being themselves and I am certain this is because of the unswerving steady love of their father:
And T13 is growing into the man he will one day become because of the influence and manly example of his father.
Father’s play such an important role, for good or for bad in one’s life.
Gary, we are all so thankful for you and very blessed by your desire to always put your family first, in everything. We hope you enjoy your day tomorrow, and feel very treasured by your family who all love you so very much.
