We are currently having some work done in our house to turn what was a two bed cottage but used as a four bed cottage into a proper four bed cottage. Okay, even I’m confused now! Basically the bedroom we created in the hall way for the littles (the one we have to walk through to get to our) is becoming our son’s (it is the smallest after all and he is the only person who does not need to share a bedroom). This means we need to stop walking through it to get to ours. Teens and privacy and all that 🙂 So we are banging a door way through to our room from the dining area and block up the door between our room and Thomas’.
Not even sure why I shared all of that, except to say we have needed to go through our stuff and we have realised we have too much. I have basically kept everything educational to reuse with my younger children and had planned to keep it again for any children we might adopt or grand children. But there is simply no room. We are bursting at the seams. Soooo, I have decided to begin getting rid of stuff I have now used with all five children: Before Five in a Row manuals and books; Mr Men; All About Reading… and, once I have used them this term, all my Astronomy stuff (books including Apologia’s Astronomy, dress up, activities…everything) and my Ancient Egyptian stuff (again books, lots of hands on equipment…).
My plan is to sell everything in a low cost bundle (ie ALL Egyptian in one bundle, ALL Astronomy in another and so on) Obviously I’d love to sell it to homeschoolers. I am thinking of selling each bundle for between £25-£50 (not including postage) This would help pay for Charlotte’s A levels and Lillie’s Foundation Diploma in Art and Design. The bundles will be worth far, far more than I am selling them for. I want to bless the buyer, but at the same time have some money to put towards the next stage of my older girl’s education.
I guess I am wanting to put some feelers out as to whether this would be of interest to you guys, my readers? If it seems to be something of interest, then I will simply put each bundle on my blog to sell. If not, then I will probably sell them on Ebay. Either way, the buyer will need to pay for the postage, or pick it up at a pre-arranged place. So, thoughts? I’d love to hear them 🙂 Please feel free to leave a message here on my blog, on my facebook page or email me (address on side bar of blog). I look forward to hearing what you all have to say 😉
Also, if any of you belong to home school groups or face book groups etc who might be interested in buying a bundle, please do share this post. Each educational bundle will be jam packed full of resources you have read about me using on the blog, and will be well worth considering!
