Simple Hand-made Mr Men Puppets

One of my goals this Easter was to test the waters and see if the Mr Men theme was likely to hold my younger girls attention each Friday next year.  When I realised that they would I wanted to start making some play things to put in the littles Mr Men and Little Misses box for next year.

First up was some puppets.  A4 in particular loves playing with puppets and telling her own story with them.  So today we sat down and made some special Mr Men themed ones.

I had a heap of foam in a drawer and I always have lolly sticks on hand.  After all, one never knows when one might need a lolly stick or twenty!  This meant that for A4 and I this toy was made for free.

I set about cutting out the various shapes. Mr Men have such easy shapes that I just freehand cut them. Here is Mr Bump.

I stuck all the bits together and using a permanent marker I made the face, hands and bandaging marks

And we stuck it on a stick. Simple as that!

So much fun, for so little effort and money!
